Labeling the parts

Here I am with the appropriate safety gear, having just labeled all of the parts of a porcine female reproductive tract.

This will explain why I have not been writing back to my pen friends. I will get back to it next week when I am home.

  1. Several thoughts:

    1) Too cool! I'd be all up in that with you...with gloves and eyewear of course. That looks like interesting stuff.

    2) Sausage!

    3) Reproductive bits??? That looks like a mass of intestines. Why is the tissue white? Is it that way naturally or has it been in some kind of preservative? Inquiring minds want to know.

  3. Preserved. Came right from a bucket, but they do call pork "the other white meat".

  4. Looks like "fun". BTW I have a 'new' address. It's the same as my old one. I decided to close my PO Box for several reasons, but I'll send you a postcard with it this week.

  5. Speck,
This was a full reproductive system from a pregnant pig, with fetuses developed up to about 4 inches long. Both sides of the uterus had about 8 pigs inside, so it was pretty large - it was about 4 feet across when we stretched it out. In a respectful way of course.
